A grand carnival will be held at the Beijing Amusement Park to celebrate the upcoming Spring Festival from February 8 to 16.

A cartoon character parade, model dinosaur display and lots of performances by cartoon players will be the main attractions in the park.

The whole park will be transformed into a cartoon world with more than 1,000 works of art.

The character parade will be held daily during the festival.

Famous performers from China and some foreign countries, many decked out in seasonal costumes, will attend the parade.

Cartoons, Western-style performances and entertainment activities will be held throughout the fair.

Special events are also prepared for Valentine's Day. Young couples can receive a nice gift by showing their entrance tickets to staff in the park. Dance competitions for young people will also be held on Valentine's Day.

An opening ceremony for this year's celebration will be held in the morning of February 8.

Entrance fee: 80 yuan (US$10), including entry to more than 25 entertainment facilities in the park.

Location: 1 Zuoanmen Neidajie, Chongwen District.
