  Urban Ice Sculpture

A grand ice sculpture show will dominate Ditan Park (The Altar of Earth) beginning February 8.

The annual show is usually held during the Spring Festival, as part of the Ditan Temple Fair.

The icy sculptures vary in shape. Some resemble Olympic logos, courtyards, lanterns and famous ancient buildings such as the Temple of Heaven and different animals, including of course, the rooster.

Different from past years, the ice sculpture show is only available for individual visitors during the Spring Festival from February 8 to 15.

After February 15, viewing of the sculptures is only open to touring parties.
