A group of constructions with unique characters is to the northeast of the palace. Five rooms, which lean against hills and by the lake, are in the main palace that lies in the south facing the north. Though the rockery under the shade of pine trees to the side of the lake, some small-sized buildings, such as Gatehouse, Jingjia Room, Jianshi Room and Yihe study, which are connected by short-walls and half-circled winding corridor, lie crisscross and form a both closed and open garden. The space gradation is plentiful.
