Outer Eight Temples - Anyuan Temple

Anyuan Temple was built in 1764. It modeled on the Gulzha on the northern bank of lli river, Xinjiang Gulzha Temple was the largest temple in Karlca in Xinjiang. Unfortunately, it was ruined in flames of war.

In 1759, the Dashidawa clan of the Zhung'eer tribe moved from the lli river valley to Rehe (now Chengde), and then settled down. To meet their needs of carrying on religious activities, Emperor Qianlong decided to build this temple for them. Anyuan means consolation to those coming from after.
