The 60-kilometer-long Shennong Stream originates from the southern slope of the Shennongjia Nature Reserve in the northwest of Hubei Province, and joins the Yangtze River at the mouth of the Wu Gorge after a long flowing through deep gorges.
The distance between two banks of the stream is lesser than five meters in width, and the alongshore precipices assume a knife shape with a height of 300-800 meters and gradient of 80-90 degrees.
The crystal clear stream onrushes all year round, bringing a flow capacity of 20 cubic meters per second. A drifting tour by 'pea boat' is a unique and exciting program during your cruise along the Yangtze River.
