Chongqing is the city where the land is more precious than gold. However, the city government has put up five magnificent squares: the People's Square in front of the Great Hall of the People, the Liberation Monument Shopping Square, Chaotianmen Square, the Green Art Square and the Jialing Square. 

The people of Sichuan Province, and Chongqing citizens in particular, are well known for their hospitality. They call these squares as ' the Parlors of Chongqing.'
