The main buddha statue in Cave 20. About 17 metes high, it is one of the biggest statues in all the grottoes. As the front wall of the cave had long dilapidated, the statue is now unsheltered, so it is called 'the Outdoor Big Buddha.'

Cave 18 was cut earliest under the sponsor-ship of a monk named Tan Yao. Here great expertise of sculpture is seen in the well-propor toned figures. Shown here are the main buddha of Cave 18 and statues in front of the caves eastern wall.
