#86071R Height:12''
GROOM Outdoor Garden version
Qing Dynasty (221-206 B.C.)
Unearthed in 1964 in the vicinity of Qinshihang's Maausoleum, Shaanxi Province
Judging from the inscriptions on pottery found in the same place, the pit where this flgure was unearthed probably represented the horse stable of the emperor's palace. The groom originally had bright colors. He is wearing a long gown. He is kneeling & sitting on his two feet. The facial fearcil features are modeled in detail. He looks slightly downwards. His posture and expression dispay the obedience and humble attitude of a royal servant.
