The 3rd China International Small and Medium Enterprises Fair (CISMEF), sponsored by China National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Commerce, State Administration for Industry and Commerce, China Banking Regulatory Commission, and People's Government of Guangdong Province, will be held in Guangzhou, China, from September 15 to 18, 2006.

This fair provides an opportunity for American Small and Medium Size Enterprises to expose their products and services to Chinese buyers. The fair is also an opportunity for U.S. business leaders to see first-hand the growth of the Chinese marketplace and requirements of buyers. 

Total 120,000 square meters of display area in Guangzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center (Chinese Export Commodities Fair Pazhou Complex) will accommodate 5000 international standard booths, which are composed of 9 exhibition sections and 2 special sections, namely, Textile and Garments, Footwear and Hats/Caps and Bags/Cases, Toy and Crafts, Foodstuff and Pharmaceuticals, Household Appliances, Electronics and IT Products, Machine, Furniture and Lamp/Light-fixture, Ceramics and Building Material, Service Industry, and International - Hongkong Macau & Taiwan SMEs.
