| Located 15 kilometres north of Shibing
on the upper reaches of Shanmu River, Mt. Yuntai covers an area of
300 square kilometres. In the scenic area, there are Gufeng Peak,
steep cliffs and caves with stalactites. Dense forest and many
varieties of plants also add to the beauty of the area. On the mountain,
there are many scenic spots like Yuntai (Cloud Platform) Temple, Baiyun
(White Cloud) Cave, and Zhonggu (Bell and Drum) Cave. Some ruins of
a large group of temple halls built in 1567 still remain. |
