  Museum of Hu Qingyu Pharmacy of Chinese Herb Medicine
 

Founded in July 1959, with an area of 3,000 square meters, the Museum of Hu Qingyu Pharmacy of Chinese Herb Medicine is the only State-level museum of traditional Chinese medicine.

The museum is seated in the Hu Qingyu Pharmacy founded by Hu Xueyan, a scholar-merchant of the 18th century, who was conferred an honorary official post by the government of Qing Dynasty. Hu declared that the pharmacy was devoted to relieve people in need and succor those in peril. 

Besides a collection of 160 items of Chinese medicine shown in the museum, there also a workshop to show how herb medicines are cured, a clinic offering health care advices, a business room, and a restaurant serving tonic foods which have tonic herb medicines added as ingredients.
