Cloud-Sustained Path in a Bamboo Grove (Yun Qi Zhu Jing)
Located at southwest to the West Lake, on the North Bank of Qiantang River and in Yunqi Village of Wuyun Hill, the 'Cloud-Sustained Path in a Bamboo Grove' is one of the 'Ten New Sights of the West Lake'.
The stone-paved footpath is sequestered in the repose of a green bamboo grove, where cool spring water keeps gurgling and susurrating in a most pleasant fashion . One can enjoy different beautiful scenes in different seasons: bamboo shoots growing in Spring; the cool breeze bringing the fragrance of trees in Summer; colorful forest over the surrounding hills in Autumn and the whole valley clad in white in winter.
Besides the wonder scenes, Yunxi village is also a major tea planting area in Hangzhou and is famed all over the world.
