Located in the western suburbs of Hefei, Shushan Forest Park has an elevation of 284 meters and an area of 550 hectares. With adjoining mountains and clusters of man-made landscapes, the park is a superb scenic spot for sightseeing in Hefei.

The ancients commented the mountain as 'richly colored in springtime; dark green in summertime; bright and clean in the fall; and dreary and gloomy in wintertime.'  The 'after-snow scenes in Shushan' are both well known far and near.
