Hong Kong Island - HK Convention and Exhibition Centre
Convention centres rarely feature on sightseeing itineraries, but Hong Kong's is so striking as to merit a visit in its own right.
Located in the heart of Wanchai and next to the Wanchai ferry Pier, the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center is one of the newest and more impressive buildings to go up in recent years. In the main convention halls, escalators and the world's largest glass curtain wall (five storeys' worth) offer spellbinding views of the harbour and city skyline. It is one of the most prominent landmarks in Victoria Harbor, and it was where the hand-over of Hong Kong back to China took place in 1997. Many major ceremonies and expos are held here regularly.
