Sao Lourenco Church
The most fashionable church in Macau was first built of wood in the 1560's, replaced by Taipa in 1618 and reconstructed in stone during 1801-3. Open daily from 10am to 4pm, except Sundays and Public Holidays, and 10am to 1pm at weekends.
Penha Church
From this hilltop there are sweeping views of the Inner Harbour and city, the Pearl River, and the islands and hills of nearby China.
The church of St. Joseph Seminary
Open to the public since March 1990. Situated at Rua do Seminario, this church was built by the Jesuits in the 18th century and restored in the early 20th century. It is a place worth visiting, especially for those interested in the art of architecture and sculpture which are the most attractive features of the church. Open daily to the public, except Wednesdays, from 10am to 4pm.
