The 3rd Nanning International Dragon Boat Tournament will be held from June 2 to 3 in Nanning, capital city of south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, organizers said on Sunday.

The tournament is expected to draw about 1,000 racers from China, Australia and some ASEAN nations.

With a long history, dragon boat racing is one of the traditional sports in China. In 2005, 34 teams with more than 900 players participated in the 2nd Nanning Dragon Boat Tournament.
