2.5 Million to Travel by Air During National Day Holiday
China's Civil Aviation Administration says it is estimated up to 2.5 million passengers will travel by air during the coming National Day Holiday, a 15 percent growth over the same period of last year.
Airline companies have been authorized to add a total of 2,400 temporary flights for the upcoming travel peak.
Most of these extra flights will be added to help deal with the surge of passengers in tourist areas and large cities.
The National Day Holiday will start October 1st, marking the 55th anniversary of the People's Republic of China.
