 The 2004 international tidewater festival ended here Sunday in Hai'ning, a city in east China's Zhejiang Province. Hai'ning is the best place in China to watch the grand tidewater of the Qiantang River. The city hosted international tidewater festival every year since 1992. This year's five-day festival attracted more than 761,700 tourists. During the festival this year, the city profited by attracting foreign and domestic investors. Statistics show that five joint projects with a total investment of 739 million US dollars have been signed during the festival, in which the total contracted foreign investment reached 610 million dollars. Local tourism authority said Hai'ning city has become a popular tourist destination.
