France Culture Year to Open in Beijing
 The France Culture Year in China is to start Sunday evening in Beijing. The first activities include a French electronic music concert, and an exhibition of impressionist art.
Adding to the French flair embracing the city, the blue, white and red of the tricolor are being used in a laser and light show at one of Beijing's old city gates, the Zhengyangmen gate.
For the first half of the cultural celebration, the China-in-France year, the Eiffel tower was bathed in Chinese red.
A fashion show from Beijing held along the Champs-Elysees will also have its twin in Beijing this week.
