 Transportation
A very convenient transport network is established in Ningbo. To its west,
the West Lake in Hangzhou is not far away. To its north is Shanghai. A transportation
network of water, land and air has been formed with the deep-water port
as the dominant role. Highways vein the whole region. Shanghai- Hangzhou-Ningbo
Expressway has been open to traffic .The Lishe International Airport has
opened 24 airlines with over 170 scheduled flights per week. Now Ningbo-Macao-Taiwan
has begun its direct flight. There are 7 high-speed passenger ships to-and-from
Ningbo-Shanghai-Putuo every day, which has formed a "high-speed blue
passage" in the "gold triangle" area in Hangzhou Bay. The
authorities of China railway have opened the line of Ningbo-Nanjing and
Ningbo-Wuyishan (mountain) holiday train travel and the air-conditioned
between Ningbo and Beijing, Guangzhou, Changchun.
