The Sacred Mausoleum contains the tombs of Priest Sashye and Gao Shi. It has come down to us from a thousand years ago. The story goes that since they were buried in this mountain many miraculous things have happened. Hence the name Sacred Mausoleum. Later, every time the Moslems set sail for sea they would come here to offer sacrifices and pray for safety on the voyage. Zheng Ho, the noted Chinese navigator, came here to offer sacrifices and pray when he passed the place on his 5th voyage to the West.
