The Mausoleum of Shao Hao (Shaohao lin) is the burial place of Shao Hao, one of the five legendary emperors supposed to have ruled China around 4000 years ago. You don't need to go near the site to see the unique pyramidal tomb, which has a history of over 700 years, dating back to the Song Dynasty. Somewhat like its Egyptian counterparts, the Mausoleum is made with large blocks of stone about 25m wide at the base and 6m high. On top of the tomb stands a small temple. Surrounding the mausoleum are city walls, halls and archways.
