  Shanghai Workers' Picket Corps

On Baoshan in Zhabei district there is a reinforced concrete building, where the commercial Press and Editors' Office used to be and it had been the headquarters of Shanghai Workers' Picket Corps. On Mar, 27, 1928, 850,000 industrial workers in Shanghai under the leadership of Zhou Enlai, Luo Yinong, Zhao Shiyan and Wang Shounian held the Third Armed Uprising, attacking the strongholds of the allied Zhilu allied army stationed in Shanghai. The uprising won a victory and set up the Shanghai Special Provisional Government in the city. The Picket Corps' headquarters was set up here.
