Former residence of Xu Zhimo and Lu Xiaoman

Xu Zhimo and Lu Xiaoman once lived in No. 923, Si Ming Housing Estate, Fu Xi Road (Now Yan'an Middle Road). It is an old stone-gate style building. Tagore once made a short stay there when he paid a second visit to Shanghai on Marth 29th, 1929.

The parlor in the middle of the first storey, decorated simply, only functions as a hallway. The bridal chamber is in the front wing in the second storey and the back wing serves as a smoking room for Lu Xiaoman. The third storey is Xu Zhi mo's study room.

Xu Zhimo is famous for Wife-loving Reading Notes and Daily Life Trifles and Luxiao Man for Xiao Man Diary. At the age of 36, Xuzhi Mo died in a plane crush accident in the end of October in 1931.
