The 2005 Shanghai Pudong World Carnival was delayed to September 28 due to difficulty with transporting the rides to the city, according to the event's organizer.

It will be located at the former site of the Shanghai Shipyard on the bank of Huangpu River close to the Lujiazui Station of Metro Line No 2.
