Located in the north of the new city center in the Futian district, the 106-metre hill is named because of its shape. Standing atop the hill is a 6-metre statue of Deng Xiaoping, the late Chinese paramount leader without whom Shenzhen would still be a small fishing village.
Covering a total are of 166 hectares, the hill park is the largest green space in the central city area. It was listed as the city's top 8 tourism and cultural areas in June 28th 2004.
