Baoding, with a 3000-year history, is an important history, culture and industry city of Hebei province. 

Located in the south of Beijing, the Capital of the People's Republic of China, Baoding is about 2-hour driving distance (140km) to Beijing and Tianjin. At the south of Baoding city is Shijiazhuang, the capital of Hebei province.

The city covers 22,113 square km, including 3 districts and 18 counties, with a total population of 10.7 million. It has rich natural resources. Now Boding has one tourism resort of state-level, three scenic spots of provincial-level, mainly including the Munching Han Tombs, the West Imperial Tombs of the Qing Dynasty, the Baiyangdian Lake, the Yesanpo Scenic Area and Dingzhou Pagoda.

Visitors to the city may learn something about the martial arts, qigong, taiji boxing, shuttlecock kicking, tonic diet, hot spring bathing, traditional massage, and the varied old-age life. Baoding is famous for its light and chemical industries; the largest film factory 'Luck Film Group Cooperation' is located here.
