Hengshui City lies in the southeast part of Hebei province, bordering Shijiazhuang in its west (119km), Dezhou of Shangdong province in its east, Beijing (250km) and Tianjin in its north. 

The city covers an area of 8,815 square kilometers, with 11 cities and countries in its administration area, and has a population of 4.13 million. 

Jingjiu (Beijing-Kowloon) Railway and Shide (Shijiazhuang-Dezhou) Railway are crossing in Hengshui city, and Hengshui train station is the first big station at south of Beijing.
