Fifteen kilometers away from the north of Shijiazhuang, Zhengding county is a historic place with a history of more than 1500 years.

The history of Zhengding County was very long and there were many historic sites. In the past 1500 years from Jin Dynasty to Qing Dynasty, it was called 'three important towns of North China'. The very long history left Zhengding County many places of historic interest and scenic beauty. 

In 1994 Zhengding County was listed 'the national famous town of historic culture' by State Department. Among the exiting 37 protection units of historic relics, Longxing Temple was called 'the first famous temple on the south of Beijing' and was ancient architecture community whose scale was larger and exiting time was longer and conservation was rather complete. 

In 2001 the county committee and government of Zhengding County relied on southern Yanzhao Street that was praised by famous architect Liangsicheng and invested 5100 ten thousand Yuan on building the historic cultural block centered with Changlemen. The total length of this block was 1478 meter. Some national protection units of historic relics including clock tower of Kaiyuan Temple, Xumi Tower, Dengli Tower of Lingji Temple, Hua Tower of Guanghui Temple, and some province-grade protection units including the old wall of Ming Dynasty and Jiaolin Study House were all located in this block. Therefore, this block was the densest street of historic relics all over the country. The rehabilitation of historic cultural block drove and activated sights along this block and the old scene of 'three important towns' reappeared.

The traffic of Zhengding County was convenient. South of county seat was 15 kilometer far from the center of Shijiazhuang City and north of it was 258 kilometer far from Beijing. It was 350 kilometer from Tianjin New Harbor and 275 kilometer from Huanghua Harbor. Jingguang Railway, Jingshen Freeway and No.107 National Highway ran through it from south to north. County-grade roads spread all over the county. 

Zhengding Airport of Shijiazhuang launched and fell all kinds of airbus. Now the airport had opened 40 domestic and international airlines and it was spare airport and branch airport of Beijing capital airport.
