  The Shaanxi Historical Museum
 

The Shaanxi Historical Museum is a large scale national modern museum. 

It is located on East Xiaozhan Road in the southern part of Xian City. It was open in June 1991, covering almost 70,000 square meters, 50,000 square meters of which is construction coverage. 

The museum is of primitive simplicity and elegance with a unique style. In the museum, 113 thousand unearthed fine cultural relics are stored in a 1100 square meter exhibition room. 

The exhibition room is divided into 7 parts for exhibitions of the prehistoric age, the Zhou Dynasty, the Qin Dynasty, the Han Dynasty, the Wei Jin Nanbei Dynasties, the Sui and Tang Dynasties, the Song Yuan Ming Qing Dynasties, and showed the history of Shaanxi from 1,150,000 years ago to 1840.
