The Tianning Temple ranks first among the eight largest temples in Yangzhou during the Qing Dynasty, crowning the best temple in the Jianghuai Plain.

The museum is rated as the largest in north Jiangsu Province, covering an area of 12,000 square meters. The 30,000 objects preserved there are respectively displayed under different themes, ranging from local history and cultural relics, Yangzhou technique, stonecutting by An Suxuan, wooden coffins in the Han and Five Dynasties (907-960), to reference materials concerning Marco Polo and calligraphy and paintings by the Eight Eccentrics of Yangzhou.
